Like I said, Imsouane is interesting because it's split into two bays: one more exposed to the ocean, and the one you're looking at right now. The waves here are gentler. It's much shallower, which is why the local surf schools set up shop on this side. Just look at all the colourful boards and the tireless daredevils, guys and girls, trying to catch their first waves. Warm-up first, as you can see in the photo. A few hours later – unlike the side where we met the two walkers – this spot fills with water right up to the top of the steps on the left. You can see it in the grooves in the rocks, too. Better not try going down then.
